Lakshani Perera (Founder of Nivartana):
Certified Ayurvedic nutritionist and consultant in Germany
Nivartana has already become a turning point in my life.
It led me to step away from my previous career and turn to nature and its gifts.
I come from an island that is one of the most biodiverse in the world – and every day I am amazed at how our ancient ancestors cured illnesses and lived a nature-connected, healthy life.
This sparked my curiosity to learn more and share my knowledge with others.
With this passion, I have spent the last few years gathering knowledge about Ayurveda and the indigenous Sri Lankan healing art.
I believe that the rhythm of life can only resonate when mind, body, and soul are in harmony with our Mother Nature.
Therefore, I have promised myself to continually expand my knowledge of this magnificent subject.

Dr. Sewandi Radha (BMAS in Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery)
I am Dr. Sewwandi R. De Silva, a passionate and experienced Ayurvedic physician practicing in Matugama, Sri Lanka.
The Ayurvedic teachings, which focus on treating the root causes of disease and minimizing side effects through effective herbal remedies, have deeply touched me—especially given my family background, which includes a traditional Hela Wedakama healer.
My academic success paved the way for me to pursue the prestigious Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) program at the University of Colombo.
After completing my six-year undergraduate program, I completed a one-year internship at prestigious government Ayurvedic hospitals such as the National Ayurvedic Teaching Hospital Borella, the District Ayurvedic Hospital Lunawa, and the Gampaha Wickramarachchi Ayurvedic Hospital.
This diverse internship not only expanded my clinical skills but also gave me deeper insights into the traditional practice of Kadum Bidum (traditional orthopedics).
Driven by a thirst for knowledge and the desire to offer holistic treatments, I acquired additional qualifications:
an advanced certification in acupuncture,
a diploma in Ayurvedic beauty culture,
and a certification in Panchakarma.
These qualifications complement my Ayurvedic expertise and enable me to develop individually tailored treatment plans that address both physical and aesthetic needs.
Since 2020, I have been running my own Ayurvedic clinic in Matugama.
I have also served as a visiting physician at Villa Welmirah and worked as a senior Ayurvedic physician at Nivarthana Ayurveda for over two years.
These enriching experiences have enabled me to build long-term relationships with a diverse patient base and collaborate with acclaimed healthcare institutions.
